Set An Animated Gif As A Wallpaper

Set an Animated GIF As a Wallpaper

Setting your desktop background color or images is an easy way to personalize your computer and show your personality to others. If you use any version of Microsoft Windows from Windows 95 to Windows XP, you can easily set an animated GIF image as your desktop background. Placing an animated GIF as your background is no more complex than using a still photo. If you use a different operating system, you’ll find that GIFs set as backgrounds fail to animate — though there are other means available to obtain an animated wallpaper.

1. Right-click on your desktop and click “Properties.” Click on the “Desktop” tab in the dialog box.

2. Click the “Browse” button. Navigate to the GIF you would like to use as your background and select it.

3. Change the placement settings as desired. You can either have your GIF centered on the screen, stretched to fit the screen or tiled repeatedly. Click “OK.”
